For its historic tenth season, the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is returning, bringing with it eight teams made up of Indian film and television celebrities. This season sees a minor format change as clubs play four round-robin matches apiece. The playoffs will go to the top four teams instead of the previous edition’s knockout style. The T20 format will be used for matches, with two innings of ten overs each side. Beginning on February 23, a total of 20 matches—spread across five locations—will only take place on weekends.
Prominent figures from the Indian film industry, including Suniel Shetty, Ritesh Deshmukh, Kiccha Sudeep, Bobby Deol, Arya, and Akhil Akkineni, will also be present at the function. The CCL 2024 will feature teams like Mumbai Heroes, Karnataka Bulldozers, and Chennai Rhinos. Games will be held in host cities like Vizag, Chandigarh, Sharjah, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram, with each city hosting matches during certain weeks.
